CUSTOMER INCIDENTS

Occasionally customers (people shopping in the store) slip, trip or fall because of a spill, recent mopping of the floor or other hazards that have not yet been removed. The following are ways we can try to reduce slip and falls.

  • Follow the scope of work and ensure Porter Logs or Lighthouse Reporting are being completed.

  • Respond to requests for spill clean ups.

  • Report hazards found in on site to the Store Manager on shift.

  • Report Spills and Safety & Maintenance Issues using the Lighthouse app

  • Always use Caution Signs (Wet Floor Signs) at the entrances, in the washrooms and where spills have been found, during and after mopping.
